The Fiesta San Antonio brings San Antonio alive with 10 days of carnivals, sports, fireworks, and entertainment. Along the city's Riverwalk and elsewhere, you'll find ethnic feasts, art exhibits, and parades--both on land and on water. In fact, the Fiesta's more than 150 events draw some 3.5 million participants and spectators.

FiestaThe first Fiesta, called the Battle of Flowers in honor of Texas war veterans, took place in 1891. Since then, the initial commemoration has expanded to include the recognition and celebration of the city's rich and diverse cultures.

Some 60,000 volunteers are involved in the festival in one way or another. Events are held throughout charming San Antonio--the top visitor destination in Texas--from its historic downtown to various university, church, and military sites.•
